Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
Written in 1594, this is a tender story of young love that is destined to end in tragedy. Romeo and Juliet, off-spring from feuding families, marry in secret. When Romeo is banished from town and Juliet is forced to marry another, she agrees to a dangerous plan which will allow her to flee with Romeo. But the plan goes horribly wrong. The tenth of Shakespeare's plays, it is the only ragedy which portrays the happiness of young love. The love scenes, exeptional in their beauty, speak for lovers of all time.

Work Description
Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare early in his career about two young Italian star-crossed lovers whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare's most popular plays during his lifetime and, along with Hamlet, is one of his most frequently performed plays. Today, the title characters are regarded as archetypal young lovers.
