Ghostwriter

The Ghostwriter was a product of World War II, both parent bravely served in the Armed Forces. His mother was a Provost - stationed in Vancouver. She was seriously wounded, awarded the Purple Heart for bravery and discharged from the Canadian Army in 1943. Unfortunately Post war Canada was not kind to its First Nations veterans, and when The Ghostwriter's father was killed his mother was forced to hide him away to protect him from being placed in residential school. Born in the Haida Gwaii realm, The Ghostwriter was raised by his grandparents - not far from the Golden Spruce. He never saw another child and spent much of his childhood playing in the forest with his friends the animals until age six when his mother returned to take him away to live in the white man's world.
